Learn how to easily make vegan garlic bread at home with just a handful of basic kitchen ingredients and easy-to-follow instructions!

  • 1 loaf French bread (I have an incredible recipe for French bread on the blog!)
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter, softened (I used Country Crock's vegan olive oil butter, but Earth Balance's Original vegan butter also works great!)
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
  • 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • *Optional: 3 tbsp vegan parmesan, grated


  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Add the butter, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt to a bowl and mix until well combined and fluffy.
  • Half the loaf of bread lengthwise.
  • Evenly distribute the garlic parsley butter from corner to corner on the inside of both bread loaf halves.
  • Place on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and bake on the middle oven rack for 12-14 minutes, or until golden and toasted on top.
